Hey Rory, nice try at the French you played unbelievable the last round!! Quick question, what are some putting drills that you do within 10 feet as I have been severly struggling with putting as in my last tourney i shot 80 with 41 putts, and of course play well at the British I'm rooting for you!!!!
Hi Sameer, sorry to hear about your putting woes. A good drill is to practice putting with your eyes closed - this makes you really 'feel' the distance of the putt and also makes for a smooth stroke. Also putting one handed is a good drill. Good luck and hope your putts get less! All the best, Rory.
Hi Rory, Now that you are a memeber of the PGA Tour do have a place in the US that you call home? Have you bought any home over here yet? Play tough at the British! Thanx in advance, Gene.
Hello Gene, no I don't have a place of my own in America just now, may be that's something to think about for the future. I'm really looking forward to the Open at St Andrews as I love that golf course! All the best, Rory.
Hi Rory, I was wondering what was your average club head speed with the driver? Good luck at the French open! (I'll be there). Augustin
Hi Augustin, my clubhead speed with the Driver is between 113 and 116 mph. Am looking forward to France! All the best, Rory.
Rory, mine is really more of a statement than a question. I went to the St. Jude Classic in Memphis, TN this weekend and followed you around on Friday. It is amazing to see how "mello" you seem out there. Thanx for the autograph and I wish you all the best in the future. It is nice to know that there are really good role models for my kids to look up too out there. Hit 'em straight and good luck. Michael K.
Hi Michael, thanks for the cool message - I had a really great time in Memphis. Thanks for your support. Cheers, Rory.
Hey Rory, my name is Quintin Page and I am 13 years old . Could you give me some tips on putting.
Hi Quintin, thanks for sending in your question. With putting you must make sure that the putter you are using is the right length for you as amateurs generally tend to use ones that are too long. Before you make your putt make sure you have picked the correct line and have your putter aiming where you want the ball to go. Have your eyes directly over the ball and make sure you have a good smooth stroke, keep your head still and that's about it! Good luck, Rory.
